It is the love story of the American Lost Generation. And it is the ballet event of this fall: THE GREAT GATSBY. The international show project, whose premiere was prepared by the best ballet masters from three continents, is now coming to Germany for only three performances.
The international team stands for highest dance quality, innovation and creativity:
Denis Matvienko – world ballet legend, principal dancer of the Mariinsky Theatre and the only dancer with four major international ballet awards.
Dwight Rhoden – the most sought-after choreographer in contemporary dance, founder and art director of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, choreographer of Cirque de Soleil, Madonna, Prince and U2 shows.
Konstantin Meladze – one of the most influential composers in Eastern Europe.
Award-winning contemporary circus ensemble Circa take us on a stirring journey of what it means to be human and of how our bodies, our connections and our aspirations all form part of who we are
Ten acrobats question what it means to be human, displaying the radical physicality that is Circa’s trademark. How much can we carry? And who can we trust to support our load?
Complex choreographies appear light and playful. The laws of gravity don’t seem to apply as the acrobats leap into the air, fall with a smile, twist into one another and build intricate sculptures with their bodies.
Festival for Music, Motorcycles & New Heritage
Here’s what they have to say:
“The Pure&Crafted Festival has always been distinguished by its unique mix. And to be honest, deep in our teenage souls we know what life is all about. It’s about motorbikes, music and cool stuff. But getting these three together is not always easy. That’s what Pure&Crafted is for.
Back in 2015 when it began, there was a new feeling in the air, old values were being rediscovered: good honest craftsmanship, handmade and analogue. Motorcycles with carburettors, guitar music, jeans made from selvedge denim. Custom bikes, guitar music and new-heritage rolled into one. The ultimate cocktail for the new summer of love.”
