Since we opened the first Circus Hostel back in 1997, we have always believed that one of the best things about travel is meeting people and that the key to welcoming people is to help them see the sides of our city that only locals can show them. This unique perspective is at the heart of our idea of hospitality and is why we have created the Berlin Social Club.
The Berlin Social Club is where you’ll find all our get-togethers, tours and other activities. It is about exploring and enjoying our beloved city, connecting people from all over the world, and giving you the chance to experience things that you would find hard to access anywhere else. Carmen and her team work so hard to make sure that we are the only place to stay that has a tour or event every single day!
Our events, tours and activities are programmed depending on the time of the year, what is happening in the city and what special skills and knowledge our international team have hiding up their sleeves.
For example, Monday might be time for Bratwurst & Beer, our German pub feast, while Tuesday it will be the chance to show off your wealth of useless knowledge at the Berlin Pop Quiz. After a long night in the city, a Wednesday morning yoga session in the park could be quite the recovery option, or perhaps even preparation for the Späti* crawl that evening or Thursday’s Karaoke Klub.
On Friday there might be a neighbourhood walk to explore Berlin’s hidden courtyards or hear all about Berlin nightlife at our Insider Club Culture talk. On the weekend we have our legendary Schnitzel Saturdays and more yoga in the park. In the summer we might be offering a kayak tour while in the winter we hit the Christmas markets.

Carmen not only knows all the best places in Berlin to show you, but she also has her finger on the pulse of what’s going on in the city. So if you have booked a stay with us, you’ll get an email that will let you know not only the best of our awesome events during your stay, but also activities and things going on elsewhere in the city.
This might include special events, foodie tips, weird and wacky places to check out and more. All of it devoted to making sure you make the most of your time with us in Berlin.
