The Circus Guide to
At the start of each year the eyes of the fashion world are on our home city. Here at The Circus we are extremely proud to be partners with SEEK, which takes place on the 16-17 January and brings together more than 250 brands from the areas of elevated sportswear, new classics, true craftsmanship and upper streetwear.
With SEEK just around the corner it got us thinking about our favourite spots in the city for those with an eye to style. So read on for our very own guide to fashion in Berlin, the fine folks behind our very special uniforms at The Circus Hotel, and some more info on what you can expect at SEEK in 2024.
Rotation Boutique
Friends and close neighbours, Rotation began as a record store for electronic music around 20 years ago but over the years has developed to become a showcase for great brands with a commitment to sustainable, slow fashion.

Starstyling
Like the best of Berlin and Burning Man rolled into one, Starstyling is an authentic Berlin fashion label full of celebratory colours, textures and quirky slogans. Spend enough time in the city and you’ll be sure to spot lots of kids wearing their fun ‘dots’ collection.

Rack n White
Second hand fashion for a good cause, Rack n White is the charity shop for the Deutsche Kleiderstiftung NGO, supporting social projects in Germany and abroad. Don’t judge the shop by its size, it might be small but there is a lot of choice – so you can look good and feel good at the same time.

Monokel
Another one close to The Circus, Monokel is home to fantastic tailor-made suits, with a small collection of stuff you can buy right away. Their production usually takes 4-6 weeks, so perhaps a good choice for our returnee guests! Oh, and they made Juri’s wedding suit… so if that’s not a recommendation, we’re not sure what is.

STUDIO183 Berlin
A fun showroom presenting emerging designers from north and central Europe – the perfect spot to find your new favourite brands! They also have a small gallery space with rotating installations as well as events during fashion weeks.

Vintage Revivals
One of the best vintage/second-hand stores, this is one of those trends in Berlin that never goes out of fashion. They have two shops in Berlin, one a short walk from The Circus on Münzstraße and the other in Prenzlauer Berg, in a neighbourhood well worth exploring for other independent stores and more.

Goldmarie
Something for your feet? Goldmarie is a lovely little shoe store in Prenzlauer Berg, with great quality at affordable prices. We especially want to give them a shout-out for their super friendly customer service… so go and visit them! You won’t be disappointed.

Hannes Roether
Of course, any guide to fashion in Berlin has to include our friends and suppliers of uniforms to The Circus Hotel, Hannes Roether. The brainchild of a designer duo united by their passion for luxurious natural materials, timeless silhouettes and colours that resemble faded polaroids… clothes that are always casual but never careless. And their studio is just around the corner from The Circus.

Want to explore vintage fashion with us? Neighbourhood tour on 16th January
If you are coming to Berlin this January, join our receptionist Luiza as she takes you on a neighbourhood walk? This tour will focus on vintage clothing stores, and along the way you’ll get the chance to see all the many weird and wonderful stores that make our neighbourhood so special. There will also be chance to stop and get a bite to eat – all part of the shopping experience. You can find out more about the tour, as well as all our upcoming activities, on our events page.
And introducing… SEEK
SEEK takes place at Station Berlin on the 16th and 17th January 2024, presenting a selection of contemporary upper streetwear and urbanwear brands. The focus is on creating a clear and accessible showcase, inspiring visitors and reflecting the common values, ambitions and goals of those who attend. Here at The Circus we’re looking forward to welcoming the retailers, brands, media and other visitors to Berlin for what promises to be a great event.
