Tucked behind unassuming facades and busy streets lie some of Berlin’s most charming secrets – its courtyards. Join our guide Davyd as he leads you through a maze of hidden gems in the heart of Mitte, from iconic passages to lesser-known nooks full of history, street art, and local character. It’s the perfect way to explore the quieter, more magical side of Berlin – one courtyard at a time.
From Weimar-era café culture to the literary underground of the ’80s, this tour dives into the lives of the writers who shaped Berlin’s rebellious literary scene. Walk through the haunts of Joseph Roth, Walter Benjamin, Vicki Baum, and more, as we explore legendary bars and cafés where ideas flowed as freely as the drinks. Discover why Kurt Tucholsky had a “book bar,” where Jörg Fauser found inspiration, and how West Berlin became a haven for creative exiles escaping conservative West Germany. Led by writer and literary expert Marcel Krueger, this tour is a must for book lovers, history buffs, and anyone who loves a good story.
Join Circus events manager Carmen on a food & culture walk at Berlin’s Turkish Maybachufer Market in Kreuzkölln. Then we will take a short walk to the famous Maybachufer market where you can snack lots of Turkish and international street food.
On this unique experience, we tour the canals of Berlin and discover Berlin by kayak, seeing Berlin neighbourhoods Kreuzberg and Neukölln from a whole new perspective, as we journey into the sunset.

Step back in time with a journey through the vibrant queer scene of Berlin in the 1920s, as seen through the eyes of Christopher Isherwood; a resident of Berlin during the Roaring 20’s, and the author of Goodbye to Berlin – the book that inspired Cabaret.
While Berlin is often known for its darker history — the Second World War and the Cold War era — the Roaring Twenties were a very different chapter. It was a time when a city in the midst of anarchy became a centre for nightlife, media, and creative freedom, shaping entertainment culture in ways that still resonate today.
Explore the historic Nollendorfplatz, Berlin’s LGBTQ* district, as our guide and author Brendan Nash shares stories of queer bars, drag and cabaret performers, and the people who built a scene that was ahead of its time. Berlin has gone through many changes, but it has long been a place where creatives, outsiders, and those looking for something different found space to exist.
We also reccomend a visit to the Berlin Schwules Museum nearby, to soak up more of the city’s queer culture and history after the tour.
